Introduction

AMS 4928 Titanium Bar and AMS 4928 Titanium Rod specify Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Bar (Grade 5), also known as Grade 5 Titanium BarUNS R56400 Titanium Bar, or Aerospace Titanium Alloy AMS 4928. This high strength titanium alloy bar is the most widely used titanium grade in aerospace and industrial applications, offering an ideal balance of high strength titanium alloy barlightweight titanium rodexcellent corrosion resistance titanium bar, and high strength to weight ratio titanium (approximately 40% lighter than steel with comparable strength).

As an aerospace titanium bar, AMS 4928 delivers fatigue resistant titanium alloy properties, heat resistant titanium rod capability (service up to 300°C), weldable titanium alloy bar, and durable aerospace titanium bar performance. This high performance titanium alloy is also seawater resistant titanium rod, making it suitable for marine environments. AMS 4928 is equivalent to ASTM B348 Grade 5 Titanium Bar and Titanium Grade 5 Round Bar, but with tighter aerospace quality and traceability requirements.
