Introduction
GH1131 Superalloy (GH113) is a solid-solution strengthened iron-nickel base superalloy reinforced with W, Mo, Nb, and N. With 28% nickel, it offers high thermal strength and good process performance among low-nickel high-temperature alloys. It is used for rocket engine and aero engine parts such as afterburner components. However, it has lower oxidation resistance and structural stability than similar nickel-based alloys; after long-term use at 700–900°C, plasticity and formability may decrease. Available in round bar, sheet, plate, strip, wire, and forgings per GB/T standards.

Note: Compared to nickel‑rich superalloys, GH1131 has lower oxidation resistance and structural stability. After long‑term service at 700–900°C, room temperature plasticity and formability may decrease.
Applications
(1)Rocket engine components – GH1131 seamless tube and forging are used in thrust chambers, nozzle extensions, and gas generator parts operating up to 1000°C.
(2)Aero engine afterburner parts – GH1131 sheet and strip serve in afterburner adjustable nozzle housings, flame holders, and mixing ducts.
(3)High‑temperature structural parts – GH1131 round bar and plate are applied in gas turbine casings, transition ducts, and support rings where moderate strength is sufficient.
(4)Exhaust system components – GH1131 wire and fastener are specified for jet engine exhaust manifolds and tail cones.
(5)Industrial furnace fixtures – GH1131 plate and forging are used in heat treating baskets, retorts, and furnace muffles for intermittent high‑temperature service.
