AMS 4965 Titanium Bar is an aerospace-grade specification for Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Bar (Grade 5), also known as Grade 5 Titanium BarUNS R56400 Titanium Bar, or Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Bar AMS 4965. This aerospace titanium alloy is the most widely used titanium grade, offering an ideal balance of high strength titanium alloy barlightweight titanium rodexcellent corrosion resistance titanium bar, and high strength to weight ratio titanium (approximately 40% lighter than steel with comparable strength).

Compared to commercial standards (ASTM B348 Grade 5 Titanium Bar), AMS 4965 imposes tighter chemistry, mechanical properties, and quality assurance requirements, making it mandatory for critical aerospace and defense applications. This fatigue resistant titanium alloy also exhibits heat resistant titanium rod capabilities (service up to 300°C), weldable titanium alloy bar characteristics, and seawater resistant titanium rod performance for marine environments.
