Introduction

Incoloy 330 Tube (also Alloy 330 TubeUNS N08330 TubeNickel Alloy 330 TubeHeat Resistant Alloy TubeFurnace Tube Alloy 330High Temperature Nickel Alloy Tube) is a nickel‑iron‑chromium alloy designed for exceptional resistance to carburization, oxidation, and thermal shock at elevated temperatures. It conforms to ASTM B535 (seamless tube), ASTM B536 (pipe), and ASME SB535, with designation UNS N08330 and Alloy 330 Tubing Standard. This furnace tube material offers outstanding performance in industrial furnace atmospheres up to 1100°C (2000°F), making it the preferred choice for radiant tubes, heat treatment baskets, and carburizing furnace components.

Key properties of Incoloy 330:

  • Exceptional carburization resistance – high nickel and chromium content prevents carbon penetration and metal dusting in carburizing, carbonitriding, and hydrocarbon‑rich atmospheres

  • Outstanding oxidation resistance – forms a stable Cr₂O₃ scale, resistant to spalling under thermal cycling

  • Thermal shock resistant alloy – withstands rapid temperature changes without cracking, critical for batch furnace cycling

  • High temperature strength alloy – maintains useful creep‑rupture strength up to 1100°C, enabling thinner tube walls and faster heat transfer

  • Cyclic oxidation resistance – designed for intermittent service where repeated heating and cooling occur

  • Furnace atmosphere resistant alloy – stable in reducing, oxidizing, and carburizing atmospheres, including ammonia, endothermic gas, and exothermic gas

  • Excellent metallurgical stability – no sigma phase embrittlement after long‑term high temperature exposure

Note: Incoloy 330 is widely used as radiant tube material in continuous and batch furnaces. It is not intended for severe aqueous corrosion service (use Alloy 825 or C‑276).

This heat resistant alloy tubing is available in seamless (ASTM B535) and welded (ASTM B536) forms, cold drawnhot finishedbright annealed, or polished. We offer custom sizescut to lengthlarge diameter, and thin wall options. Our product range includes Incoloy 330 seamless tubewelded tubebright annealed tubecustom size tubing, and cut to length alloy tubes.

Applications

1. Industrial Furnaces & Radiant Tube Systems

  • Incoloy 330 tube for industrial furnaces – radiant tubes in continuous annealing lines, roller hearth furnaces, and bell annealers for steel, copper, and aluminum processing. Exceptional carburization resistance extends tube life by 2‑3x compared to 310 stainless steel.

  • Incoloy 330 tube for radiant tube systems – U‑type, W‑type, and straight radiant tubes for gas‑fired and electrically heated furnaces. Thermal shock resistant alloy withstands rapid startup and shutdown cycles without cracking.

  • Radiant tube alloy supplier – also used in furnace rollout tubes, burner tubes, and heat exchanger bundles for waste heat recovery.

2. Heat Treatment & Carburizing Furnaces

  • Incoloy 330 tube for heat treatment furnaces – muffles, retorts, and inner covers for batch and continuous heat treating (annealing, normalizing, tempering). High temperature strength alloy maintains shape under heavy loads at up to 1100°C.

  • Incoloy 330 tube for carburizing furnaces – carburizing retorts, radiant tubes, and gas injection lance tubes in atmosphere carburizing, carbonitriding, and gas nitriding processes. Oxidation resistance prevents scale formation that could contaminate workpieces.

  • Heat treatment tube material – also used in quenching furnace ducts, equalizing chamber liners, and carbon potential sensor sheaths.

3. Petrochemical Heaters & Thermal Processing Equipment

  • Incoloy 330 tube for petrochemical heaters – convection section tubes, transfer line exchangers, and cracking furnace coil supports. Creep resistant alloy tube withstands thermal cycling and high pressure at 800‑1000°C in ethylene, hydrogen, and reformer service.

  • Incoloy 330 tube for thermal processing equipment – kiln tube sections, calciner shells, and fluidized bed reactor tubes for mineral processing and catalyst activation. Furnace atmosphere resistant alloy stable in reducing and oxidizing conditions.

4. Annealing & Carburizing Furnace Components

  • Incoloy 330 tube for annealing furnaces – bright annealing tubes for stainless steel strip and wire processing. Bright annealed Incoloy 330 tube provides clean internal surfaces that do not emit scale or metal particles.

  • Incoloy 330 tube for kiln equipment – rotary kiln gas tubes, preheater tubes, and cooling air injection pipes. Cyclic oxidation resistance ensures long service in cement and lime kilns.

5. Power Generation & High Temperature Process Equipment

  • Incoloy 330 tube for power generation systems – superheater hanger tubes, burner nozzles, and flue gas recirculation ducts in biomass, waste‑to‑energy, and coal‑fired plants. High temperature alloy tube resists ash corrosion and chloride attack.

  • Incoloy 330 tube for high temperature process equipment – thermowell tubes, protection tubes for RTD/thermocouples, and sampling tubes in molten metal, glass, and ceramic industries.
