Introduction
GH2901 superalloy (GH901 / Incoloy 901 / UNS N09901) is an austenitic age‑hardening nickel alloy designed for high strength and creep resistance up to 650°C. GH2901 round bar, forging, wire, spring wire, and fastener are widely used in gas turbine discs, compressor discs, aero engine bolts, high temperature nuts, and pump shafts. This precipitation hardening alloy offers high yield strength, good stress rupture, and excellent fatigue resistance. Compared to Inconel 718, GH2901 provides similar performance for moderate high‑temperature applications. Available per ASTM B408, AMS 5660, or customer specifications.

Advantages

(5)Good fatigue resistance: GH2901 wire and round bar exhibit strong reverse fatigue strength, suitable for rotating components like journals and turbine outer rings.
Applications
(1)Gas turbine rotating discs – GH2901 forging and round bar are widely used for turbine discs, compressor discs, and journals in aviation and ground gas turbine engines below 650°C.
(2)Static structural parts – GH2901 plate and sheet serve in turbine outer rings, casings, and support structures requiring oxidation resistance and dimensional stability.
(3)High temperature fasteners – GH2901 bolt, nut, and fastener are specified for aero engine assemblies up to 650°C, offering high clamp load retention.
(4)Pump shafts and remaining spare parts – GH2901 round bar and wire are used in oil & gas pumps and replacement components for legacy engines.
(5) Aero engine hardware – GH2901 spring wire and strip are applied in springs, seals, and retaining rings operating under thermal cycling.
