Introduction
Inconel 625 Pipe (also Inconel Alloy 625 Pipe, Alloy 625 Pipe, Nickel Alloy 625 Pipe, UNS N06625 Pipe, High Performance Nickel Alloy Pipe) is a nickel‑chromium‑molybdenum‑niobium alloy offering outstanding corrosion resistance, high strength, and excellent fabricability. It conforms to ASTM B444 (seamless pipe/tube), ASTM B705 (welded pipe), and ASTM B704 (welded tube), as well as ASME SB444 and SB705. This high strength corrosion resistant pipe is designated UNS N06625 and W.Nr. 2.4856, widely used in offshore, subsea, oil & gas, and marine environments where both strength and corrosion resistance are critical.
Key properties of Inconel 625:
Exceptional seawater corrosion resistance – immune to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride‑containing environments, including stagnant and warm seawater
High strength nickel alloy pipe – excellent tensile and creep‑rupture strength up to 980°C (1800°F), with good fatigue resistance
Chloride resistant alloy pipe – outperforms super austenitic stainless steels in high‑chloride, low‑pH environments
Pitting and crevice corrosion resistant alloy – no localized attack even under marine deposits or biofouling
Excellent fatigue resistance – withstands cyclic loads from waves, pressure fluctuations, and thermal cycling
Superior weldability nickel alloy – can be welded without post‑weld heat treatment, with matching filler metal (ERNiCrMo‑3)
High temperature oxidation resistance – stable protective oxide layer up to 980°C
Stress corrosion cracking resistance – immune to chloride‑induced SCC, even in H₂S‑containing sour service
Note: Inconel 625 is the preferred material for subsea umbilicals, offshore risers, and marine exhaust systems where a combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability is required.
This marine grade nickel alloy pipe is available in seamless (ASTM B444) and welded (ASTM B705) forms, cold drawn, hot finished, pickled, or polished. We offer custom sizes, cut to length, large diameter, and thin wall options, with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 schedules. Our product range includes Inconel 625 seamless pipe, welded pipe, tube, large diameter pipe, custom size, and cut to length pipe.

Applications
1. Offshore Platforms & Subsea Systems
Inconel 625 pipe for offshore platforms – topside process piping, platform risers, firewater systems, and chemical injection lines. Exceptional seawater corrosion resistance and high strength withstand harsh North Sea and Gulf of Mexico conditions.
Inconel 625 pipe for subsea systems – subsea flowlines, jumpers, and control tubing for deepwater fields. Fatigue resistance ensures long life under vortex‑induced vibration (VIV) and thermal cycling.
Subsea pipeline material – used in wet‑insulated flowlines and pipe‑in‑pipe systems for HP/HT wells. Chloride resistant alloy pipe prevents cracking from sour service (H₂S, CO₂, chlorides).
2. Oil & Gas Industry – Onshore & Offshore
Inconel 625 pipe for oil and gas industry – sour gas gathering lines, wellhead flowlines, and downhole tubing in sweet/sour environments. Stress corrosion cracking resistance ensures safety in H₂S‑containing service.
Inconel 625 pipe for LNG facilities – cryogenic piping for liquefaction trains, subsea LNG transfer lines, and vapor return lines. High strength nickel alloy pipe retains toughness at −162°C.
Marine engineering – used in hydraulic control lines, umbilical tubes, and tool deployment systems for offshore drilling.
3. Seawater & Marine Applications
Inconel 625 pipe for seawater applications – seawater cooling lines, ballast systems, and firewater mains on ships, platforms, and coastal plants. Pitting resistant alloy eliminates need for coatings or cathodic protection.
Inconel 625 pipe for marine engineering – shipboard exhaust system piping, desuperheater lines, and boiler blowdown lines. High temperature oxidation resistance up to 980°C.
4. Desalination & Chemical Processing
Inconel 625 pipe for desalination plants – high‑pressure brine feed lines, recycle loops, and evaporator tubes in MSF and RO plants. Crevice corrosion resistant alloy prevents attack under seals and flanges.
Inconel 625 pipe for chemical processing – reactor feed lines, heat exchanger tubes, and agitator shafts handling corrosive mixtures (chlorides, acids, caustic). Excellent weldability simplifies fabrication of complex spools.
5. Heat Exchangers & Power Generation
Inconel 625 pipe for heat exchangers – shell‑and‑tube exchangers for seawater cooling, sour water strippers, and reboilers. High strength allows thinner walls for improved heat transfer.
Inconel 625 pipe for power generation – flue gas desulfurization (FGD) piping, superheater tubes, and ash handling lines. Superior corrosion resistance in low‑pH, chloride‑rich environments.
