Introduction

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy hardened by cold working only. It offers low corrosion rate in flowing seawater and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in freshwaters, making it widely used in marine applications, offshore platforms, chemical processing, and heat exchangers. This corrosion resistant nickel alloy maintains great mechanical properties at subzero temperatures and can be used up to 1000°F. Available forms include Monel bar, sheet, plate, pipe, tube, wire, forging, flanges, fittings, and fasteners (bolts, nuts). Compliant with ASTM B127, B164, AMS 4675, NACE MR0175.
